Create an accountThe Cycles Dupuis team is back on the starting line

After a few seasons of rest, the Cycles Dupuis cycling team is making a strong return to the peloton. Made up of seasoned racers, tactical minds, and bikes as sharp as blades, this squad is more than ready to climb the podium.
The team rides the Argon 18 Sum Pro, a bike unanimously loved by the riders. In addition to being Canadian, it's light, fast, and ultra-high-performance.
Let’s take a closer look at the fierce new roster:
Michel Henri
A versatile and passionate rider, Michel Henri brings extensive multi-discipline cycling experience to the Cycles Dupuis team. He recently claimed first place in the M2 category at the Grand Prix de Ste-Martine.
Michel began his career in cross-country mountain biking, where he had a standout run that culminated in a Canadian Championship title in 2004. He then transitioned to road cycling, making his mark at events like the Mardis de Lachine, where he won the Master jersey three times and secured third overall. In 2017, he was named Master Athlete of the Year by both the ACVQ and FQSC.
Never one to shy away from a challenge, Michel has since added track and cyclocross racing to his calendar, excelling in endurance track events such as the scratch race, points race, and elimination, while also enjoying the technical diversity of fall cyclocross competitions.
For this season, Michel is riding an Argon 18 Sum Pro with Shimano Dura-Ace, chosen for its balance of versatility, stiffness, and light weight. His setup includes an Enve in-route cockpit, zero-offset seatpost, and Bontrager Aeolus RSL saddle for an optimized fit.
Off the bike, Michel is an engaged entrepreneur. Along with his partner Véronique Dupuy, he owns several Tim Hortons franchises in L’Assomption, St-Sulpice, L’Épiphanie, and Repentigny. Together with their two young athletic children, they proudly share their passion for cycling through the Cycles Dupuis team.
Jean-Philippe Venne
A former hockey player turned explosive road racer, Jean-Philippe discovered cycling in 2015 and started racing the very next year with Cycles Dupuis. He quickly fell in love with criteriums and time trials, claiming a major win at the Mardis Lachine in 2018.
From there, the podiums followed:
-
QC ITT Champion in 2018
-
Double QC Champion (Crit + ITT) in 2019
-
Clean sweep of all three provincial disciplines and a Canadian Crit title in 2021
His weapon of choice this season? A finely tuned Argon 18 Sum Pro, with a single chainring setup, aero chainring, and aggressive Enve handlebar.
“It’s my fastest bike yet. I’ve tried a lot of brands, but the Sum Pro is still my favorite. Its geometry is aggressive, yet it’s stiff and light,” he says.
For Jean-Philippe, the beauty of the sport lies in the shared training hours with equally passionate teammates. A true racer, always ready to work for the team.
He kicked off his season strong with a gold medal in the M1 category at the Classique des Bois-Francs, followed by a second place at the Grand Prix Ste-Martine.
Joël Pelletier
With 27 racing seasons under his belt, Joël is the peloton’s living memory. After 10 years in the elite ranks and now 15 in Masters A, he’s raced for Premier Tech, Archibald, Iris, and of course, Cycles Dupuis—his original team.
With over 500 criteriums to his name, he’s witnessed generations of riders come and go—and never once hung up his wheels.
Still fiercely competitive, his recent results speak volumes:
-
Top 5 at the QC Crit Championships (MA) 2024
-
3rd at the Crit Laval Provincial (M1)
-
6th at the British GP (M1)
-
Cyclocross wins in 2022 and 2018
Joël praises his Sum Pro as the full package: agile, aerodynamic, and light. He's especially proud to race on a Canadian-designed bike — a combo he believes will power many more wins.
Jonathan Hervieux
At 45 years old and with 150,000 km behind him, Jonathan is pure road cyclist DNA. A member of the original Cycles Dupuis generation, he returns with the firm goal of stepping back onto the podium this season. Though he’s dabbled in cyclocross and MTB, the road remains his first love.
His Sum Pro is a true race machine:
“It’s the bike that exceeds all expectations. It’s lighter than most WorldTour bikes and looks amazing. It’s as fast as a Madone under Mads Pedersen’s legs.”
Jonathan has upgraded with the Enve Aero In-Route handlebar/stem combo, prioritizing both performance and comfort. He also chose the Bontrager Aeolus Pro saddle, ideal for both aero and upright riding positions.
A Shimano loyalist, he opted for an electronic Di2 groupset, a 54-40 crankset, a wide-range cassette, and C60 28mm tubeless wheels—a no-compromise build.
By day, Jonathan is a firefighter in Montreal, where staying fit is part of the job. He even commutes by bike, getting daily active training in the process.
Harry Milad
Harry discovered cycling during the pandemic — on a hybrid bike. Quickly, one question haunted him:
“Why are my Strava contacts riding 35 km/h while I’m maxed out at 23?”
With no real athletic background, he turned to road cycling for answers — and was instantly hooked.
After just a few fast rides, he began racing in 2023 (Masters 2). In his debut season, he launched a breakaway at Delson with two laps to go and landed a podium. Since then, he’s raced regularly on the Laval and Lachine circuits, balancing competition with family life.
After joining the team late in 2024, Harry kicks off 2025 in Cycles Dupuis colors, with JP as his racing partner. He’s already notched another podium in Boucherville, proving his power is only growing.
An equipment enthusiast, Harry rides the 2025 Sum Pro:
“One pedal stroke and you're in love,” he says.
With a 54-tooth chainring—perfect for Quebec terrain—and a Silca waxed chain for silent, efficient power transfer, Harry is always ready to launch.
A project engineer by profession, he often takes his bike on work trips to explore new roads. Passion, after all, never sits still for long.
A huge thank you to our generous sponsors — Tim Hortons and Venne Ford — and to Lori, our kinesiologist, who ensures each rider benefits from a perfectly dialed bike fit, so they can focus fully on performance instead of discomfort.
With a team this strong and partners this solid, the rest of the season is shaping up to be one to remember — full of victories to come!
